History
VERTEX STAR d.o.o. was founded in 2004 by Nenad Božić M.Eng., following several years of experience in designing and engineering electric steelmaking, continuous casting, and rolling mills. We began with two engineers and have grown over the years into a team of fifteen full-time engineers, supported by more than ten external collaborators who are experts in various fields of science and engineering.

20 years anniversary
2022
Basic and detail engineering of steel structures for steel recycling lines.
2021
Basic and detail engineering of fume extraction systems including calculations.
2019
Complete mechanical and fluid design of small EAF 10t.
Water calculations and heat transfer calculations.
2018
Move to a new office in an exciting location.
Expanded our experience in cold and hot rolling mills.
2017
Development and design of vertical caster discharge aera for blooms Ø1400mm.
2016
The first project involved the design of EAF fume extraction system (drop out box, HTQ
tower)
2012
Design all mechanical components for complete EAF.
2011
Started with design of machines on CCM casting platform (tundish cat, ladle turret)
2010
Started with FEM static and fatigue analysis of steel making equipment.
2008
The first projects design of parts for rolling mills.
2006
Started design of parts for billet casters (mold and run out area).
2004
Founded and started first project of EAF equipment.
